An assessment report is a document that summarises the findings of an assessment. It outlines the strengths and weaknesses of an organization and helps improve internal processes. It is typically written by an external party however, it can also be created internally. Assessments are often carried out as part of training and development programs or as part of a larger company performance review.

The report of assessment should clearly describe the findings of the evaluation, and what actions were taken to address these findings. They should be easy to read and use the right mix of visuals and text to communicate information. They should also take the organization’s design guidelines into consideration in order to ensure they are properly presented and reflect the company brand.

Assessing a program is not about determining if students completed the required requirements, but rather how they have developed in time and whether the curriculum has succeeded in enhancing student outcomes. Assessment reporting for each academic year is one way to prove this. Assessment reports show that programs are evaluating their curriculum, and demonstrating ongoing improvement and making adjustments in practice when the results of previous assessments are reviewed.
